end is near…

so i have been posting lately (it’s really funny, seeing that i have two posts anyway) but it’s almost over, because my exam days are almost over. By emphasizing “almost” im trying to convince myself that i have one more final project to do and i really have to work on it, but apprently my finger do not want to follow my order and now they are typing against my will. so i guess, eh whatever, ill just make one post.

anyway, due the extreme nature of relationship between asians and exams, i have found myself locking up all my gaming consoles (exception of pc). So i havent turned on my wii, ps3, ds, heck, even my trusty dvd player i got for free, for over 2 weeks. No valkyria, no Travis, no Leon, no Lloyd, no nothing. Just no. but my pc survived, and i have been keeping up with pc games for a while, although i deleted half of my games to increase my free space on hard drive, which, i found very fascinating since no matter how much i delete, the space won’t get bigger. (THAT explains my low marks) So i decided to just go w/e and start playing games, who cares about exams, eh?

So basically i installed Tick!Tack! fron navel. If you uhh don’t know about this game, you better stay away from this game, and even if you do, uhh get away from this game. Those of you who played or watched (i recommend ‘watching’ but drawing style sucks on anime) shuffle, you will have a vague idea about what this game is about. It’s basically a sequel (…that is nothing more than a fan disc) to shuffle, featuring Nerine as the main heroine. and uhh we all know what fan discs are for. now let’s move on. why am i even playing this game anyway? i know the story anyway. i should delete this. yes i really should.

Another game i hooked up was Magical Battle Arena (why the heck am I playing these games!! i want to know). No, this is nothing M-rated, nor is it a fantasy themed gladiatorial game. It’s a doujin (fan-made) mahou shoujo fighting game, but in a way it’s not really ‘fighting’ game, like soul calibur or tekken, but more of a hybrid of shooter plus melee fight. The perfect example of this type would be Higurashi Daybreak, but if there’s anyone who know this game I’d be surprised. The game itself isn’t really bad. There is about 10 or so characters that are playable if you patched to newest and have lyrical pack, which essentially is an expansion pack. It’s a doujin game so the developers took liberty in using liscenced characters, such as nanoha, fate, sakura (card captor), sarara, Lina inverse (slayers) and so on. The graphic is fairly adequate quality considering it’s fan-made game, and there are some balancing issue and some control issues here and there, but nonetheless one of the better games in doujin area. but man. sakura is so hard to beat…..

now let’s look to somewhat casual(?) games. currently i have only 2 games on my ps3, and i have decided it’s time to change that and give my extremely expensive ps3 the love it deserves. I am thinking of picking up burnout paradise (if they have a copy that is) and eternal sonata after my exam and my birthday, which is coming up soon. And i have convinced myself to buy zack and wiki for wii too, since it’s 20 bucks anyway.

and i still have to decide whether to buy killzone 2 or not. i havent played the 1st or liberation, and as a single player gamer, im concerned if the stories are something that needs to be taken in account when playing the second in series.

for anime, nothing really much is happening. havent kept up with anime for 2 weeks now… oh, i watched this yuri anime called shoujo sect and uhhhhhhhh GAWWWWWWWWWWW i would rather die than talk about that thing

ps. for your own sake, plz do not go to google and search the games i mentioned
